Nastia makes strong privacy claims: end-to-end encryption, no human review of messages, no data sales to third parties, GDPR compliance, discreet billing descriptors.

These are self-reported. The company is unfunded (per Crunchbase) and there are no independent security audits publicly available. Given the billing complaints, treating these claims with skepticism seems warranted.
