Venice AI vs Nastia.ai: which private uncensored AI is worth using?

Venice AI vs Nastia AI looks like a fair fight on paper. Both promise uncensored AI chat with no safety lectures, both talk a lot about privacy, and both let you start free. People searching for a private uncensored AI tend to land on one of the two.

They’re built for different jobs, though. Venice is a ChatGPT-style assistant that allows explicit content and keeps your chats off its servers. Nastia is a companion app with characters, memory and moods, plus a billing reputation you need to know about before you type a card number. Which one fits depends on whether you want a private tool or an uncensored girlfriend.

Quick verdict

Pick Venice AI if privacy is the point. Chats live in your browser, you can sign up with a crypto wallet, and Pro at $18 a month unlocks fully uncensored text and NSFW image models.

Pick Nastia.ai if you want an actual companion: a character with a personality, memory across sessions, and explicit roleplay that works on the free tier. Pay with a virtual card if you pay at all.

Skip both if you want a polished girlfriend experience with good NSFW images. Candy.ai and GirlfriendGPT handle that better than either.

Privacy: Venice wins, and it isn’t close

Venice’s design does something most NSFW AI apps only claim. Conversations are encrypted and stored in your browser’s local storage. When you send a prompt it passes through Venice’s proxy to a decentralized GPU provider, which sees that one prompt with no account, IP address or history attached, generates a reply and discards it. Venice says it logs account events like sign-ins and never conversation content. You can create an account with a wallet key and pay in crypto, so there’s a route to using it with no name or card on file.

Two caveats from our Venice AI review still apply. The GPU provider does see your prompt in plaintext while it runs, and no third party has audited any of this as of 2026. It’s Venice describing Venice.

Nastia’s privacy pitch reads well: end-to-end encryption, no human review of messages, no data sales, GDPR compliance, discreet billing descriptors. The problem is structure. Your chats sit on Nastia’s servers because the memory feature needs them there, so you’re trusting a small, reportedly unfunded company to do what its privacy page says. One 2026 reviewer’s advice was to treat Nastia conversations like a semi-public forum. That’s harsher than we’d put it, but the instinct is right.

If you’re choosing on privacy alone, the decision is made. Venice stores nothing to leak. For the wider field of anonymous-friendly apps, see our privacy-first NSFW AI companions roundup, and for what typical apps do with your chat logs, the data privacy breakdown.

How uncensored is the chat on each?

Both get you explicit text without a fight, but the paywall sits in different places.

Nastia is uncensored from the first message. The free tier handles explicit roleplay and sexting without refusals, and independent reviewers tend to score its NSFW text around 8 out of 10. Characters stay in role during intimate scenes, and it rarely fades to black. The free allowance is small (recent reviews put it at about 200 tokens a day), so you’ll hit the cap quickly, but what you get inside that cap is unfiltered.

Venice changed in early 2026. Free accounts now run with content moderation, and the fully unfiltered setup sits behind Pro. Once you’re paying, you pick the Venice Uncensored model, turn off the Mature Filter under Preferences, and replace the default system prompt with your own. After that, users describe it as about as permissive as hosted AI gets. It doesn’t lecture and it doesn’t steer the scene somewhere safer. The mechanics of why this works are in our guide to truly uncensored AI chat: these are open-weight models that never had a corporate filter to begin with.

Both platforms enforce hard bans on content involving minors and non-consensual material. Neither treats that as a toggle, which is what you’d expect from any legitimate service.

So: for free uncensored chat, Nastia. For the highest ceiling once you’re paying, Venice, which also lets you swap between several models when one gets repetitive.

Companion features: Nastia’s home turf

Venice has a Characters section with community-built personas and a Mature Content toggle. It’s fine for one-off roleplay. But every conversation is a standalone document. Nothing carries over between chats, nothing syncs between your laptop and phone, and clearing browser data wipes it all unless you’ve made a manual Pro backup. There are no selfies sent mid-scene and no voice. Reviewers who tried to use it as a girlfriend app came away saying the chat was sharp and private but the character never grew with them.

Nastia is built around that missing piece. You get 12 pre-made characters (six realistic, six anime) or you build your own with a name, look, voice, backstory and conversation style. Paid plans add Advanced Traits such as jealousy, mood swings and irritability, so the character can get annoyed when you mention someone else or turn cold after an argument. Few apps attempt that. Memory persists across sessions on paid plans, though users report occasional resets, and free users lose context between sessions. Voice messages exist on paid tiers. They’re clips, so don’t expect a live call.

If long-term memory is what you care about most, neither of these leads the category. Our deep-memory companion comparison covers the apps that do.

NSFW image generation

Venice takes this one easily, with a catch. Pro unlocks uncensored image models, with Lustify SDXL for realism and a WAI model for anime, and an allowance of roughly 1,000 images a day. Output quality is what you’d expect from well-tuned Stable Diffusion checkpoints, and you control the prompt directly. The catch: free users can’t generate explicit images at all, and the newest premium models bill in credits on top of the subscription.

Nastia’s image generation is the weakest part of the product. Trustpilot reviewers say prompts get “largely if not completely ignored,” images render slowly, and the results look more filtered than the text chat despite the “100% uncensored” marketing. A 2026 review said output falls well below what the marketing screenshots suggest.

Neither matches a companion app where the character sends images as the scene develops. For that, see the best NSFW AI image generation apps.

Pricing

Venice’s tiers have been stable through 2026:

PlanPriceWhat you get
Free$0About 10 text and 15 image prompts a day, moderated
Pro$18/mo or $149/yrUnlimited text, ~1,000 images/day, uncensored models, 100 credits
Pro Plus$68/moPro plus 7,500 credits with rollover
Max$200/moPro plus 22,500 credits with rollover

Nastia’s pricing is harder to pin down because it keeps moving. When we reviewed it in March, Pro ran about $9.99 a month or $49.99 a year. Reviews from mid-2026 list a Basic plan at $11.99 a month and Unlimited at $15.99, dropping to roughly $7.33 and $8.33 a month on annual billing. Token packs are sold separately. Check the live checkout page and screenshot it before you pay, for reasons the next section makes clear.

On sticker price Nastia is cheaper. On what the money buys, Venice Pro covers unlimited uncensored text, image generation that works and a choice of models for a few dollars more. Our NSFW AI pricing comparison puts both against the rest of the field.

Billing and trust

This is where Nastia loses the most ground. Its Trustpilot score sits between 2.3 and 2.5 out of 5 depending on the month, from a small set of reviews, and the complaints cluster around one thing: people who say they chose monthly billing and were charged for a year, then couldn’t get a refund without a chargeback. More recent reviews mention friction when downgrading plans. The product itself functions and reviewers don’t call it a scam, but the pattern has held for over a year.

Venice has a different profile. It’s a venture-backed company reportedly valued around $1 billion, billing runs through Stripe or crypto, and we haven’t found a comparable complaint pattern. The criticism it draws is mostly about the VVV token, which has nothing to do with a chat subscription, and about credits running out faster than people expect on premium image models.

If you subscribe to Nastia, use a virtual card with a spending limit and set a reminder before renewal. We covered the same advice in our Muah.ai vs Nastia.ai comparison, and nothing since has changed it.

Who should pick which

Venice AI suits you if you mostly want an unfiltered assistant for erotica, roleplay scenes and adult questions, you care where your chat logs live, and you’re fine paying $18 a month. It also suits anyone who wants explicit images with direct prompt control.

Nastia.ai suits you if you want a character who remembers you and has moods, you mostly care about text, and you’re happy to stay on the free tier or pay carefully. Read the full Nastia AI review before subscribing.

Some people will reasonably use both: Venice for anything they’d never want stored, Nastia’s free tier for the companion itch.

The verdict

Venice AI wins this comparison. The privacy architecture is real, the uncensored ceiling on Pro is higher, the image models work, and there’s no billing cloud hanging over it. It earns its 4/5.

Nastia.ai wins one category, and for some readers it’s the only one that counts. It’s a companion and Venice isn’t. The free uncensored text chat is good and the Advanced Traits system is fun. The 3/5 reflects weak image generation and a billing record that means you should never give it a card you can’t cancel.

If what you want is a persistent AI girlfriend with images and memory and without the billing risk, the app below does that job better than either of these.
